You may have had the pleasure of enjoying some of Paulo and Bill’s delicious cuisine before, and now we’re excited to feature their catering services as a new preferred vendor at Ball Event Center! 

Catering coordinator Ashley Brewer took the time to share more details about the restaurant and catering services with us. Read on to learn more!

History

Paulo and Bill first opened its doors in 1996 and continues to be a staple in western Johnson County. Owned and operated since 2003 by the same two local businessmen with extensive restaurant knowledge and experience, we provide a neighborhood restaurant feel while offering great food in a warm and inviting setting. Our service is friendly but professional and our many long term employees and regular customers help make our dining room, bar and patio lively and festive places.

Signature Dishes

Many of our guests have a Paulo and Bill signature dish they love and request. Our Lasagna, made with our mouth-watering red sauce, fresh mozzarella and KC’s own Simeca’s sausage has always been a crowd favorite and our version of Chicken Parmesan with its goat cheese red sauce is delicious and unique. Another popular dish is our Bowtie Pasta which is simmered in garlic Fontina sauce, handpicked roasted chicken and crimini mushrooms.

My favorite entrée has always been our Chicken Marsala.  The reduction sauce is a 3-day process, and you can taste the time and energy that goes into making it! 

If you have a sweet tooth, our Chocolate Mousse, served in a clear cup, layered with white ad dark chocolate mousse swirls is to die for! Our fresh Vanilla Bean Cheesecake on a graham cracker crust or Carrot Cake with spiced pecans and caramel are wonderful non-chocolate selections as well.

Catering

I have over a decade of experience as our Catering Coordinator and I am very passionate about being able to manage all aspects of an event, so that the hosts are able to enjoy their own party; worry-free!  I love to create custom menus that will not only taste delicious, but look great on a buffet line.  All of our food is made from scratch, so I know that our food will be outstanding!  That confidence allows me to focus on the event overall and help with anything that is needed.  I am happy to manage rentals and vendors.  I live for the little extras like typed menu signs on heavy cardstock, glittery candles and individual decorations. They can really make an event tasteful and elegant or fashionably understated.

With a new Executive Chef, exciting new menu options and recent interior renovations, there is a lot going on at Paulo and Bill. I look forward to taking care of you soon!
