We just wrapped up playing host to our Spring Bridal Show at BCC. Twenty of Kansas City’s finest vendors attended the show, and it was a huge hit! The ballroom was filled with laughter and music from our DJ, Wade, with Complete Weddings+Events. Brides and guests in attendance wondered freely about the ballroom as they sampled hors d’oeuvres from Plaza Catering (the lemon chicken spiedini was divine!), and drinks were served by Mary, from Diamond Girls Bartenders.
The Ballroom
The ballroom was beautifully decorated with help from Be Seated and Elegantly Expressed Wedding Decor. Lisa Prophete, from Be Seated, provided chair covers and gorgeous centerpieces for the tables. The backdrop behind the DJ was provided by Annalee Strub from Elegantly Expressed Wedding Decor. Each vendor provided a prize valued at $75 or more and the brides were given tickets to put in the raffle and choose which prizes they would like to win. Elegantly Expressed Wedding Decor was kind enough to also provide the vases used to hold the raffle tickets until it was time to draw the winners.
Baked Expressions
The show ran from 5 PM to 8 PM to give brides and guests ample time to talk with vendors and enjoy the food and drinks provided. If you didn’t have a chance to sample the cakes from The Sweet Nook and Baked Expressions then you missed out! The Sweet Nook had five different cake flavors to sample and the Carrot Cake was a HUGE hit. Baked Expressions sampled their signature Apple Cake that transported you back to a crisp, fall day. It was absolutely delicious.

participation, and we are so appreciative of all their hard work. At the end of the evening, we drew for our grand prize, a $200 Master Card gift card provided by BCC. This was the prize everyone was waiting for! Michael Nicoski, director at Ball Event Center, drew the lucky winner, Shelby Brim. Shelby is a bride from Kansas City, Missouri and will marry her fiance, Daniel Wilkes, on October 1 of 2016. Shelby was thrilled and shocked when she heard her name called and said it was just what they needed to help with wedding expenses!
