After 8 years of dating, Faith Hoyt and Dustin Lanning recently tied the knot at Ball Event Center where a beautiful ceremony was held, followed by a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing.
The story of how the couple met is a slippery one. According to the bride, “We actually met through mutual friends at a birthday party in their backyard. We were playing “water wiffle ball” with kiddie pools as the bases, and a slide into home base! I say we met on second base, he says first. We just really hit it off from there.”
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a casual cocktail hour in Ball’s foyer and large entry lounge area. And, while the wedding party went outside to shoot family pictures. the main ballroom at Ball was transformed from wedding sanctuary into a warm and inviting reception venue.
The former Faith Hoyt (now Faith Lanning) said, “We chose Ball Event Center because the hours were so flexible. It wasn’t just a 5-hour block that we had the venue, we could come in early and possibly set up the night before. The pricing and all-inclusive package with the caterer, DJ, cake and bartender made it all so much easier. The less decisions, the better!”
The wedding party finished up their outdoor pictures and headed back to celebrate the newlyweds, friends and family. After a lovely speech by the Father of the Bride, dinner and drinks were enjoyed by everyone. All followed by a night of celebrating and dancing.
“Michael has been great to work with. He’s been so helpful with us – letting us come in early to set up and being so flexible with our needs,” said Fatih.
