Ball Event Center is Home to More Than Just Weddings

Happy Hour Gathering at Ball

Ball Event Center is more than just a conveniently located, versatile, and state-of-the-art multi-use event facility. It is an integral part of the Kansas City metropolitan area’s business, social services, civic, and healthcare communities, providing ample space for an almost limitless range of activities.

Within the last year alone, KVC Health Systems, a nonprofit that provides medical and behavioral healthcare, social services, and educational programs, hosted their annual celebration at Ball. There, they recognized the previous year’s achievements, volunteers, and beneficiaries. Baker University, located in Baldwin City, Kansas, hosted their annual Kansas Senior Alumni Coffee & Conversation at Ball, and CareSource and Children’s Alliance Child Welfare also shared their organization’s progress and achievements there.

Local Business Organizations Have Come to Trust Ball

“Ball Event Center is the perfect location for a number of our events, large and small, throughout the year,” says Sara Misemer, Events/Activities Manager at the Olathe Chamber of Commerce. “The staff is always accommodating and does whatever is needed to make our event a success.”

The ballroom offers 4,600 square feet of space, making it an ideal venue for addressing large audiences or providing ample room for tradeshow booths, presentations, and demonstrations. It can also be divided into three separate, sound-insulated rooms, with one accommodating 400 people in a theater-style configuration, 304 for banquets, or 144 in a classroom setting. Two other wholly separate spaces include the Mabee Learning Center for 40 people and the Executive Boardroom, which seats 18.

Technology is fully up-to-date as well. All spaces are sound-insulated and include podium/panel technology, Wi-Fi, and video conferencing abilities. Additional equipment for running events includes DVD players, laptops, screens, projectors, lecterns, and wireless handheld and lavalier mics.

“When we set up our events calendar for the year, we always look to the Ball Events Center first,” says Tim McKee, CEO of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a great location with a friendly, knowledgeable staff, not to mention a wonderful partner for our Chamber and our community.”

However, no corporate, charitable, or recognition event is just that, and so Ball offers everything needed for breaks, snacks, full meals, and even Happy Hours, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Tables, chairs, bars, and servers work out of a fully equipped, on-site industrial kitchen, and while staff and catering services are available, outside vendors are fully welcome to make full use of the facilities.

Hosting events at Ball includes access to everything needed to present any kind of organization at its best, making it easy to thoroughly impress customers, members, guests, and associates with the highest levels of professionalism and efficiency. Décor, menu, and activities can be customized to reflect and enhance any organization’s name, reputation, values, and goals.

Amenities also include easy access from a major highway, plenty of free parking, and a wide selection of hotels located a short drive away from Ball. Best of all, organizers tasked with creating a memorable event, whatever its purpose, can leave the hard work and countless small details in the hands of experienced event professionals. Leaders, programmers, and presenters can spend their time and energy doing what they do best: representing their organization and delivering their message.

“There’s a reason we keep coming back to Ball,” Misemer added. “Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a lunch event with more than 100 people, they have exactly what we need.”
