Heinen Landscape and Irrigation to bring their entire company out for a one-day landscape makeover of our own KVC Health Systems, Ball Event Center’s building neighbor and partner…” – and an Olathe nonprofit and national leader in adoption, child welfare education – all pro-bono!
On Wednesday, September 2, 2015, the Heinen team (approx. 20 individuals) will spend the entire day transforming and beautifying the landscape at KVC’s headquarters and its sister venue, the Ball Event Center. Heinen has partnered with several vendors including House of Rocks and KAT Nurseries to obtain all landscape materials for the project including trees, shrubs, plants, and granite patio areas. The entire project is at no cost to KVC – and will be completed (mostly) in one day!
Dave Heinen, owner of Heinen Landscape, said of the special event, “Adoption and finding lifetime homes for children is an important cause. And KVC does a great job uniting kids and families. Our people really wanted to take the time to help a great cause in our community, and KVC was a perfect fit.”
For the Ball Event Center, this upgrade will mean a beautiful backdrop for bridal photos and special events.
Said Michael Nicoski of the landscape makeover, “This is going to make such an impact on our bridal audience. The curb appeal of the venue will be dramatically different.”
This will be a fast, fun and exciting event that will include a lunchtime cookout for the landscaping team and a mutual end of project celebration where the KVC staff will emerge for the “big reveal”!
In its 45-year history, KVC has grown from a local home for at-risk boys to a national organization touching the lives of over 50,000 children and families each year.
